Hi, I’m a former City bicycle planner, now producing art — not quite full time, OK, not nearly full time, but devoting as much time as I can.

  1. Nice to meet you. Bikes and art are my two biggest loves. Check out my biking tags when you have a chance. And thanks for the like on my blog. I will spend some time on your blog and see what you are up too.

  2. thank you for visiting my amateur art blog, and for the like. You’ve done some awesome work; I love the painting a day project idea. I really like your site design on artsurgency as well. I look forward to seeing more of your work! Thanks again, -Scott

  3. You are a great painter. I will be in San Fran this fall, studying film at SFAI. Maybe you could give me some tips about the city. I am paying $700/mo. rent now in Wash D.C. in a house with a bunch of other guys. Anything like that in San Fran? :):) Tim Ruane ruanetimothy430@gmail.com Great paintings, really great :):)

    1. Thanks for your nice comments!
SF is not a renter’s town right now, in large part due to the Google and Twitter employees who have moved here in large numbers and make lots of $$– sending the rents way up and out of reach for many people ( can you hear the anger in my voice? ) Your best bet might be to contact SFAI and see if they have any leads. Best of luck!

  4. Hey neighbor! Thanks for stopping by my blog and sharing a thumbs up! I’m in my studio every day but haven’t made the kind of commitment you have. I’m workin’ at it though. Keep it up!

  5. I love how some of your paintings capture just a detail of a larger scene. The kayaker is a good example, as is the person climbing the sculpture. I also live in SF, so I know the places well.

  6. Hi
Bikes and painting? Two favourite things! Thanks for calling by at my blog – dropped in for a return visit. I like your sketches a lot. What is this – oil? acrylic? I get the impression they are small and done from life mostly. I like the freedom of your work. I’ll call by again.

  7. Hello,

I have sent you a few emails, but you have not replied, so I thought I’d try this blog.

I am the General Editor of Forum Magazine and I believe you have submitted some pieces of art for the Spring 2015 issue. We are considering your artwork “Prayer” to be the front cover, but we need either a higher resolution or the original to scan.

This is a matter of urgency as we have deadlines to meet. Please contact Forum at your earliest convenience.

By the way, this is a beautiful blog.

    1. Hi Alexis,
Thank you for your emails, etc. I just got back from Argentina today- so that is why I haven’t responded. Anyway, I am thrilled to have my work on the front cover! This particular piece of art is now in a show in Nevada but I think the show is coming down now. If this offer is still good, I will call the curator of the show and ask if there’s anything she can do. By the way, I checked my emails and I haven’t received anything from you, so please re-check the address. It is: w60604@gmail.com. Anyway, please let me know if it’s not too late.

I'd love to hear what you think! Please leave a comment...
